Words to live by, what we say,
Words to speak, day by day.
Lifting up to help a friend,
Encouraging others until days end,
Keeping my mind in God's control.
So my mouth can only extol
The things that are good and pure,
So others will always be sure
God's word will surely mend and heal
And cause others to continually feel
That HE is oh so very near
And to Jesus each one is dear.

PRAY, PRAY, PRAY !!!

Pray in the morning pray in the night,
Pray when things are wrong
And again when they're right.
Pray for your neighbor and pray for your friend,
Pray from each days beginning right up to the end.
Pray for strength and joy from above
Pray to receive that special holy love.
Pray when you're "up" and then when you're "down",
Pray you'll be a blessing to all you're aroun'.
Keep praying 'til the day HE takes you "over there"
Keep praying 'til in heaven true glory you will share.

To My Friend

A child of GOD so sweet and kind
Another like you I'll never find
One so honest sincere and true
Everyone needs a friend like you.
Cheer up this day and put a smile
Upon your face for in a while
This present trouble will soon be past
And GOD's pure love will surely last
Beyond the dark and dreary ways
HE'll bring you soon to sunny days.
So praise HIM even when you're down
'Cause HIS HOLY SPIRIT is always aroun'.
Wait on the LORD and you will see
How mighty and wonderful HE can be!!!!

Are you thankful HE has set you free?
Today have you thanked HIM properly?
Have you praised the wondrous things HE's done?
Have you thanked HIM for HIS only SON?
HE alone has given life,
So you can live above all strife.
Lift your thankful heart in prayer
And praise HIM 'cause HE's always there.
HE's done so much for me and you
Thank HIM for your life brand new.
Do you spread HIS wonderous love around
From friend to neighbor on this ground?
Spread the news that HE's been here
And that HIS return is very near.
Praise HIM and thank HIM and tell each soul
Only JESUS can make you whole.

God's Plan

In the Garden Of Gethsemane, so many years ago,
Our LORD said "FATHER I really don't want to go,
I'd really rather stay right here and be with my good friends,
I don't want this time on earth just now for me to end.
Thomas still needs answers so he can carry on,
And there's the one I love so much, you know, John,
I should stay right here for Peter, he still has many a fear--
and the multitude that followed they really need me here.
But YOU set this cup before me, it came from YOUR own hand,
So FATHER, I will drink it just the way YOU planned."

I met a man years ago who swept me off my feet,
I found him to be thoughtful and very very sweet,
When he looked into my eyes,
I could see he really cared,
And then I realized our life would soon be shared,
We've been through ups and downs and still our love is strong,
We'll thank Our LORD for guiding as we travel on.

Are you anxious to know HIS will in your life?
Are you eager to to live above all strife?

Are you tired of battling the evil one?
Are you discouraged when the day is done?
"Be still and know that I AM GOD"

Are you seeking to see what's in store next week?
Are you wondering why the future seems bleak?
"Be still and know that I AM GOD"

Do you worry for friends and family all along?
Do you wish in faith you could be more strong?
"Be still and know that I AM GOD"

Do you search every minute of every day,
longing to serve HIM in every way?
"Be still and know that I AM GOD"

Hearken your ear as you kneel to pray
and your heavenly Father will surely say,
"Be still and know that I AM GOD!"

The Stranger

One day a stranger came and knocked on my hearts door
He knocked and knocked and then HE knocked some more
HE didn't shove and push, HE waited right outside
until I realized there was no where I could hide.
Reluctantly I asked HIM in, not sure if HE would stay,
Then HE began to lead along the narrow way.
HE said," I came to give you life, it now begins anew,
Because I went to Calvary to shed MY blood for you."
And then HE said," I'll never go and leave you all alone,
I've chosen you,my friend, to be my very own.
I've waited for this special day when you would ask ME in,
And now I've cleansed you from each and every sin."
